This tomosode was made into a lovely coat for the mother of the bride. She matched a simple dress with one of the green colors in the coat.
This is a Tomosode (formal) kimono worn by a married lady. The lining is fully attached to the kimono. I need to carefully undo the seams of the entire kimono, then press out old seems before I have the fabric I need to make the 3 piece outfits. The fabric from one Tomosode makes one 3 piece outfit or Kimono Coat. Each is a one-of-a kind unique vintage ware that hopefully will be handed down as a treasured heirloom wearable art piece.
